"But we all with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory just as by the spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18
My favorite testimonies are those that are hard to believe. I love the glory that God gets when people share where they were and you can see how He has transformed their life. It gives hope to others!
We are made new, born again, transformed, and redeemed. There is a joy in redemption! One definition of redemption is clearing a debt. We have to understand in the story of the prodigal son that his return was celebrated. His mistakes were forgiven and forgotten because he was home. This is how the Lord sees us when we turn to Him.
When we understand that we are loved and forgiven then we can begin the process of being transformed. The enemy tries to trap us in the lies of our past mistakes or hold us hostage by things that happened to us. It is vital that we accept His forgiveness. Just like the prodigal son we have to accept the celebration that we are home! Although we may deserve to live with the hired help He wants us to be His child. We are redeemed by the blood of our precious Savior Jesus Christ. We live in a world that is imperfect and fallen, and sometimes things happen to us that we did not deserve. God is a loving Father and wants to heal our hearts. We cannot receive that healing if we are bitter, angry or unforgiving so that's where we ask Him to take us by the hand and lead us to healing.
If you google the definition of transformation it says, "a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance". That is the best part about the redemption and healing is that it changes more than our heart. Most often people can see a physical change in us as well. The joy can be seen on our face, the love can be felt in how we look and talk to people, the peace can be felt in our presence, and the confidence that we are a child of God can be seen in our life choices.
Father God I ask today that you continue to transform us from glory to glory making us more like You! Amen!
